to do list. . .

I have long been tormented by our dining room table
in it's current state of blah . . . rather dark wood
that has a little too much shine to it.
I'm not going to sugar coat this. . i hate it.
I have these old little chairs that are painted this
wonderful pastel greenish blue. . like the chair
in the picture just above.. and i sooooo
want to paint the table something
similar.
After years of discovering what i truly
like and don't like i definitely am
not for dark . .anything.
now if i can just convince my hubby.

Very Excited !

So i have been staying up too late
every night for days and days
painting and painting new things for
fall and winter
and THIS is making me very happy :)
i just LOVE it!
I am slightly obsessed with letters and fonts as it
is but have limited resources to create most of the
things in my head. . so i was so happy
with the way this turned out
just painting it free hand .
I think i am going to have to have it made into a
nice large poster for sam's room!

It's been getting awfully chilly here in New England
as of late and our new wood stove can't come fast enough!
The wood is dried and ready to keep us warm
and toasty!

delightfully busy week with friends and family
and all sorts of different daily gatherings that all caught up
with me today. . just now. i thought i would stay up
late into the night and paint and paint . . but i can barely
keep my eyes open to write this. . . . so it's not meant to be.
Tomorrow we are off to an annual country fair
with a gaggle of friends. good times. good times.
i need to go sleep so i have strength for
all the fun ahead.

City Girl

Out in the rain again this evening. I had waited
all day to put some new plants in the ground so it couldn't be helped.
I LoVe it really. Dirt is much easier to dig when it's wet
and although you look like this in about 2 seconds
how often do we city dwellers get to
play in the mud!
I highly recommend it.

Surprise at the end of the day

After doing the dishes , washing the kitchen floor. . it had been a while and
many sam spills later so it was overdue!
. . .and tidying up a few more things from the day
i sat down with my lap top to
check on everything and when i logged into
my etsy shop i had this wonderful
surprise from a stranger who
found my shop and included one of my prints
in her collection of favorite "LOVE" things
from Etsy.
